How to Choose a Multivitamin

The vitamin aisle can be confusing. Here is what we tell our customers.

  • Match it to your life stage: formulas for adults over 50, for pregnancy and for children differ for good reasons.
  • Look for an NPN number on the label: it means Health Canada has reviewed the product.
  • More is not better: avoid doubling up on vitamins A and D from several products.

And remember: a multivitamin supports a healthy diet, it does not replace one.
